A lot of people are very nervous about the current financial situation.  But, the Fayetteville area is in perfect position to weather this storm.  Like any storm, this too will pass.

 The current financial crisis really has nothing to do with any mortgage or real estate companies in the Fayetteville area.  The market here is VA driven and non-conforming mortgages are the exception and not the rule.  In other areas of the country the “powers that be” relaxed mortgage lending requirements allowing people who really could not handle a real estate mortgage the ability to obtain one.  Check out this article published in 1999 in the New York Times……

As of right now, Fayetteville, North Carolina is a buyers market.  But, as the election season passes, things in the area will level out.  The way the Defense Department has handled deployments will allow the market in the area to weather the storm.  This trend will continue.  Right now, Fayetteville, North Carolina is the place to buy for a first time buyer or investors.  An overabundance of new homes has forced builders to offer great incentives.  However, these incentives will not last forever.  If you have good credit you should be able to purchase a home in the area with little or no money out of your pocket.
