Since Monday of this week I have probably seen over 100 homes with some prospective buyers. Most of those homes have been new homes over 3000 square feet which is not really that big a deal. But, in this case it is a big deal.
There are a ton of homes for sale in the Fayetteville NC Multiple Listing Service that are selling at a astounding low price per square foot. A couple of years ago a 3000 square foot home with a 2 car garage would be selling for a minimum of $300k. But now, you can get that kind of square footage for as low at $205,000. These homes meet all VA standards and are flying off the shelves. Builders cannot keep up with the demand.

The City of Fayetteville has now placed sewer updates online. As is it stands now, the Public Works Commission plans on making sewer available to 500 homes a year and finish around 2023. When finished they plan to extend sewer services to additional 7000 homes that were annexed in 2005.

An acquaintance of mine gave me some info that I found very intriuging. I hear people complain about not know when is the right time to buy a home. Here is a little motivation for you if you are on the fence:
April of 1980 Interest Rates were 17 1/2%
April of 1990 Interest Rates were 10%
April of 2000 Interest Rates were 8 3/4%
April of 2009 Interest Rates were 4 1/2%
Seeing as how our Federal Government has spent trillions of dollars that we don’t have… I suspect these interest rates will not last long.
